The Dave Thomas Band is a combination of professional music educators, local and national recording artists, and musical professionals. Dr. David Thomas, the leader and founder of the group holds a Doctorate in music education from Kent State University with a concentration in composition from Case Western Reserve. He is truly one of the finest pianist in the country, noted for his expertise in the jazz venue. Some have called him a walking Real Book.

The Dave Thomas Band has a tight rhythm section that is second to none, bass, guitar, piano, and drums. It is complimented by a Tower of Power sound horn section, trumpet, sax, and trombone. Topped off with two outstanding lead vocalists, Pat Harris-Thomas a sultry vocal perfectionist that sings all styles and a extensive vocal range, Rich Lackey that has a vocal expertise of all five Temptations rolled into one man. The Dave Thomas Band has been featured at The White House Inaugural festivities, a regular at The Sera Bella Columbus Children's Hospital Gala and Fundraiser, Cleveland Browns Stadium, and numerous weddings and private affairs. Whatever the occasion, this band is so versatile and capable of meeting a need for a trio, quartet, 10 piece band or full orchestra at a moments notice.

The Dave Thomas band has a wide and extensive repertoire that includes jazz standards, R&B classics, Motown grooves, country kicking, Jewish traditional, and yes even Polka's.
